Skills needed to be a Project Manager

Observe from this illustration how a project manager is expected to be flexible especially in connection with the kind of project that he is assigned to complete. Not only should he become a good leader, but he also needs to assure that he becomes a good mediator and facilitator who is able to make amendments every time there are unforeseen situations that occur along the way. Most likely , being an implementer, a project manager is expected to be strict especially in assuring quality while also being an understanding person who knows the limitations of his people and the manners by which they might fail to reach the results as desired. Being an expert and a reasonable leader is an important characteristic of a good project manager. Understandably, it is with these characteristics that a project manager is able to manifest good control over the situations that might occur during the implication of the planned approach. In times of unexpected occurrences, a project manager is expected to be ready and refined especially when presenting the alternative procedures that the team could take in response to emerging issues hence imposing a better way of completing the project amidst all the arising issues.

How does project management help apply human resource knowledge area to project initiating and planning processes.

The procedures of project management are specifically dedicated to the aim of making a great impact on how human resource knowledge is applied in the many aspects of the planning towards the initiation sector of the project’s completion.  The role from which project management approaches emerge specifically indicates how a well-planned structure of project application creates a more definite path of growth for the entire team of operators dedicated to making a particular project work. A good approach to project management specifically gives attention to how one project manager knows his team members and their capabilities, hence allowing him to know who can be appointed to complete a certain task at hand. Hence, this means that a good project management plan accounts for a properly defined pattern from which the capabilities of each member of the team is properly recognized and defined alongside the expectations of the stakeholders of the process.

In this manner it could be analyzed that project management does allow one specific plan to be pursued in an orderly process specifically referring to the manner by which the team members or the human resource are able to perform in accordance with the requirements of the entire project blue print directed towards completion. Having ample human resource knowledge a project manager is empowered to handle difficulties and offer alternatives to particular problems or issues even during the actual process of applying the project’s plan into action.

How does project management help ensure that project goals support corporate strategies

Take note from this pyramid of operation that project management specifically deals with the need to collaboratively involve every aspect of operation in the process of development of a particular project towards completion. During the process of planning, project management procedures ensure that the goals of the stakeholders are met in accordance with the culture and strategies of the ones being served by the project. Take note from the presentation that project management assures that the workforce dedicated to complete the plan’s application are ready enough to face the challenges and possible immediate changes that the plan might have to encounter in its actual pursuance. This then is handled in accordance with the corporate strategies that are recognized by the organization and individuals being served. Notably, it is through this approach that the values of all the stakeholders involved in the process are being given proper response by the project manager who for some reasons is expected to become as flexible as possible when it comes to dealing with issues but as firm as needed when it comes to imposing the rules and regulations that are needed to be recognized towards the completion of the project which involves both the management of the man power and other resources as well.
