Relevance of Sex Offender Label to Stress and Alcohol, Dissertation Abstract Example

The main concern has been the need to identify the relevance of sex offenders label to stress and alcohol abuse among adult male Mexicans-American sex offenders. The paper also points out various challenges faced by sex offenders labeled to stress and alcohol. This provides insights addressing reintegration into stigma, mental health concerns. The sex offenders face tremendous challenges from both society and prison set up. The social stigma associated with the sex offender label comes with collateral consequences. Two of the most important consequences a sex offender will face on a regular basis are loss of opportunities for stable employment and safe housing. Other negative consequences include disenfranchisement and the loss of the right to possess firearms.

From the findings alcohol consumption among Mexican American adults is known to be higher than the rest population. Data findings are revealed. The cause of alcohol and drugs consumption among the Mexican-Americans is pointed out which include; hopelessness, poor wages and poor living conditions.
