Research Framework, Case Study Example

A research framework in regard to any type of study refers to the process of assessing evidence by asking important questions related to interpretation of data retrieved from research findings. Often it is a theory, which provides profound methodology reviewing interventionsfor ‘best practices’ validation in any science. Research Framework is a relatively newBest Practices Clearinghouse (BPC) feature. It serves as a protocol establishing evidence based review standards to ensure that Best Practice Summaries are evidence-based transferable (Burns & Grove, 2011).

A research framework factors into studies through application of the theory/ evidence to findings. For example, if a research framework validates evidence based practice espoused in a nursing care intervention pertaining to post catherization urinary tract infection;researchers can apply this evidence to either support findings or nullify the previous evidence. If further research validates the framework then it remains current and usable (Burns & Grove, 2011).

Hypothesesareprobable explanations of a phenomenon.They are usually written in the form of a single sentence statement, which through research can be proven either true or false. Precisely, it relates to nursing research when probable explanations have to be verified through testing. This testing aspect creates the scientific significance of hypotheses. There are specific statistical tests employed in determining whether the hypothesis is true or false. Hence, a working hypothesis is usually tested and proven true. Further it can be applied to other studies.

Therefore, my hypothesis statement pertaining to the research I intend to undertake reads, quality health care in America is crucial to improving life expectancy of Americans, which has dropped to a number twelve rating among developed nations due to its cost being the highest here too.
