School District, Personal Statement Example

It was always a dream to become a school teacher, and with the reality of it seeming quite near, mentally, one can’t help wondering what will bring the greatest pleasure on such a career journey.

The possibility exist that such satisfaction may reside in the time spent preparing, planning and delivering of the lessons, knowing that considerable time was spent studying the learning characteristics of this particular age group.

Teachers that were encountered in the past, have spoken regarding the great satisfactions they felt, when taking their students on field trips, and hear them applying the classroom knowledge that were imparted to them, while for others it was when they were inspecting the end of year reports, or meeting many of these students after  graduation.

On reflection, these accomplishments should also bring much satisfaction too, but maybe not the greatest.

Learning should be fun, and when each student body language, speech, and attitude reflect this on a daily basis, it should be greatly satisfying, knowing an opportunity had been given, and taken with both hands, to positively impact on some young lives for generations to come.

However, when they reality of the fact that present in each classroom and many more to come, will be future doctors, engineers, teachers, farmers, scientist, senators, congressman, presidents, company executives, and many others, who will need to be empowered by the high quality teaching materials, the attitude of the teacher, and a conducive environment, the weak in heart may refrain from embarking on such a journey/.

My  imagination started running, and the picture of several faces seem permanently etched in my mind,  as they  enthusiastically drawing information, knowledge, instructions, and life sustaining skills, like young  tender plants in a well watered garden of the classroom, seems to draw me like a magnet in their direction.

Perhaps newspapers, televisions, magazines, or some other media will transmit news of my future graduates from the halls of this schools will bring joy and great satisfaction.

The realization that society can been impacted on in much the same way that Socrates taught Plato, and Plato taught Aristotle, who in turn trained Alexander the Great to conquer the world, when any teacher enters a classroom with the right levels of preparations,  enthusiasm, commitment, care, and love for the students,  also makes the challenge compelling.

Knowing also that the opportunity and privilege will soon be extended, is also a strong source of motivation to pursue and fulfill the dreams and aspirations that has been deeply embedded within my spirit.

Objectively, when each aspect of the journey is looked at introspectively at the end of the day, in terms of the lessons taught, the field trips taken,  projects worked on, the responses made  in classes, the number of students graduating, the rewards earned, the accomplishments, the impact on society and the schools image, and personal achievements, it may be best to extract the greatest satisfaction by combining them all into on life experience package, as each one brings something uniquely different to the table, that cannot be easily replicated.

Finally, the contagiousness of the great satisfaction will cause it  not to stop with the teacher who was fortunate to be employed, but will also be transmitted to the principal who was wise enough to make the life changing decision for the school, for future students, and the curriculum that will be developed to ensure continuity.
