The team will be responsible for launching two prepaid cards (HSBE ‘budget manager and HSBC’s financial manager). The new prepaid card will be fee free while offering the same flexibility. It will allow the customers to purchase services and products. The cards will also be used to withdraw money from cash machines. The marketing team will aim to achieve the following objectives:

1. Define the appropriate way of notching up the bank current account markets share from 8.0 % to 15% within one year of the implementation of the plan.
2. To increase the profitability of the banks correct account from 20 million dollar to 30 million dollars within one year after the launch of the prepaid cards. This will be done by encouraging customer to save hence making the fund available for bank to lend.
3. To rebuild the banks customer confidence to at least 80% within one year. This will be done by portraying the bank as responsible and socially conscious financial institution. The customer confidence will be assessed by administering questionnaire to the customers at various branches.
4. To build up the bank cooperate image and branding the theme of being a global bank with local knowledge. This will be achieved by introducing a new product that are in line with the current global financial downtown.
