Section 2: Prototyping

The majority of websites apply depictions in order to wireframe the websites. The wireframe elements may involve depictions which are preconceived or sketches which are graphically drawn. The concept of wire framing is an integral component of the website creation process. The wireframe elements are useful for communicating information to the target markets. The wireframes enable the conveyance of information with greater facility. The activity of wire framing is the initial phase in the website conception process. In performing the endeavor of creating the picture elements of the wireframes, it can be assured that the designs will consider the distinct elements of the page which are required components of the website design (Chapman 2010).

In addition, wire framing enables optimal positioning of the wireframe elements. .The wireframe and the trail mockups of the website are frequently applied in an interchangeable perspective. The mockups are directed toward the visual presentation of the website. The mockups may be similar to the refined website design. In addition, the mock up will incorporate all of the website designs, typography and additional elements in the website. The mock ups are usually files of images which are considered for inclusion in the website (Chapman 2010).

The prototypes are quasi- functional webpage depictions which enable a preview of what the website will perform in its final conception. The prototypes are usually formed with the user interface by means of the application of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The prototype stage is the stage which precedes the implementation of the business rationale of the website. As the prototypes are not endowed with the complete functionality of the site, the clients are given the opportunity of simulate the manner by which the website will perform in its refined version. The prototypes may or may not incorporate the finished design elements (Chapman 2010).

The wireframes are the initial step; the next creation in the sequence of web design is the prototype. The mock model may also be applied in conjunction with the prototype. The sequence in website design of the wireframe, prototype and mock model of the website are reliant on the category of website that is being created. In the event that a fundamental static website is being constructed, benefits are derived from the prototyping process. The category of wireframe that is applied for the website is reliant on the complexity of the website. The wireframes usually depict the content areas, sidebars, footers and headers of the website. The peripheral elements that may be contained in the website are the fundamental site features, graphics navigation and search bars (Chapman 2010).

The wireframe that was applied for Sylvie’s Show Cars a high fidelity wireframe. The colors were considered with regards to the ability to attract the attention of the website user. The logos of the tour buses and limousines were also incorporated.  The wiredrawing endeavor can be conducted with Illustrator and InDesign. The application of Adobe InDesign is a decision that must be made by the website creator. The website that is applied implemented a deviation of the grey box design in its conception. The basic elements that were considered for use in the website are the mock caricature of an elderly couple and the depiction of a family enjoying a vacation. The logo for Sylvie’s Show Cars and the tour busses. In addition, there were two actual pictures of Volvo buses which are applied for the larger tour groups and a stretch Lincoln Continental Town car limousine. Another tool that may be applied in the creation of the wireframe is Mockingbird. Mockingbird enables the creation of outstanding websites that have links. Lovely Charts, Cacoo, Lumzy and Jumpchart may also be applied for the creation of the wireframe (Chapman 2010).

Section 3: Interface Design Guidelines

The Bull’s-Eye was conceived to conform to the guidelines that have been established by Oracle. The challenges have been directed toward the application of Java and had been encountered at the stage of the implementation of widgets. In addition, another challenge was the need to evolve the web applications. The web applications had the capacity of being able to draw from the web applications that are conveyed by means of a browser. The web based products require the designs that are functional throughout a variety of domains, with the capacity of providing service to diverse user profiles (Beier & Vaughan 2003).

The Bull’s Eye was created in order to address all of the aforementioned issues. The Bull’s Eye is representative of a concentric circle of guidelines, which applies the construction of each of the categories as layers. In the core of the Bull’s Eye model is the tab or widget that will be applied in order to access information. The next layer is the page template. This is the home page that was displayed for Sylvie’s Show Cars. The third layer would be the page flows which are used in order to create the object template. The fourth layer is the blending of the page flows in order to form the interaction format that is applied for ecommerce. The fifth and final layer for the website in the Bull’s Eye model is the overarching principles and features which are applied. The final layer is also designated as the landscape page (Beier & Vaughan 2003).

Section 4: Design Principles

The criteria that are applied by the W3C delineate that an opened web platform shall be applied for application production which has the potential of facilitating developers to construct the interactive episodes. These interactive experiences are motivated by substantial data files which are readily accessible on any given device. Notwithstanding that the parameters of the platform are in a state of continuous evolution, the industrial concerns have advocated the manner by which HTML5 will serve as the foundation for the platform. The true merit of the platform is reliant on additional technologies which are being created by the W3C and its associates. These platforms include a collection of APIs, XML, and Web Stacks that operate semantically. Furthermore, there are WOFF, SVG and CSS. The guidelines and the applications are produced by W3C in order to create a homogeneous conception with regards to the contents of the technical reports. The function of the W3C is also to incorporate an elevated level of quality which can be applied by the general public. The web applications and designs include the criteria for constructing and presenting web pages (W3C 2015).

The construction and presentation of the Web pages includes the web applications technologies of Ajax, SBVG, CSS and HTML. These areas are demonstrated in the manner by which the pages can be made accessible to those who are visually, physically or mentally challenged. In addition, the Web applications enable the display of Web pages in a variety of languages and their functionality on mobile devices. The webs of devices is a technology which is being developed byW3C that would enable the web to be accessed anywhere on any type of component. The web access would be included from automobiles, mobile phones, television screen and printers (W3C 2015).

Section 5: Visual Layout and Navigation Design

The main functions of website graphic design are to formulate a concise a visual order of comparison. In this manner, the important elements can be quickly observed. Furthermore, the functional areas of the page must be defined. The page elements which are collected must be correlated. In this manner the structure can be perceived in the website content. The basic page matrix delineates the discrete areas which are functional. In addition, sufficient negative areas provide the definition of the relationship of the figures to the layout. The website page applies the basic concepts of page layout. In maintaining the standards for web page composition, the users gave the capacity of being able to locate the primary content and functional elements with ease. The shaping and the agglomeration of the elements must also be considered in the design of the CSS and HTML elements. Furthermore, the comprehensive visual logic should be considered (Lynch & Horton, 2008).

Conclusion

The website that is operated by Sylvie’s Show Cars demonstrates the characteristics of wire framing and prototyping. In addition, m a mock draw up was uploaded for examination. The wire framing of the elements enable the selection of the typeset and colors that will be applied on the website. In addition, the concept of the Bull’s Eye is being applied in the development of the website. This will enable the website to operate on a multitude of domains with widgets that have the capacity of addressing the information needs of the consumers who visit the website.
