Team Tutors, Thesis Paper Example

Thesis Paper

In order for Team Tutors to properly differentiate themselves and be able to market effectively to their affluent clientele, they should hire tutors that have accomplished various levels of success in their respective fields. For example, it is beneficial for science tutors to have completed a minimum of a master’s degree in a scientific field, have comprehensive experience as scientific teachers and/or professors, and have engaged directly in scientific research at some point during their careers. In this manner, clients can be sure that they are getting the best possible help by hiring a professional tutor from Team Tutors. Thus, even though tutoring services through the company may be expensive, it is justifiable based on the expertise its tutors provide, supported by the willingness of these individuals to tutor clients at a variety of times and locations, including the client’s own home for convenience. As such, Team Tutors will be in a unique position to market themselves as not only the best, but the most convenient as well.

Three opportunities that the team could take for expanding Intellectual Property (IP) could be the creation of the company’s own textbooks for ACT preparation, creating its own online study software for independent study use, and creating special names for each of its programs that can be trademark protected. By establishing trademarked study programs, the company will have an edge against its competitors. Specifically, creating its own online study software will allow students to engage in study on their own, contributing to the efficacy of the Team Tutors program. Reserving intellectual property rights on this software will allow the company to market this product in a way that ensures that it is exclusive, thereby allowing it to be sold on a large scale, resulting in significant profitability as well. As the Team Tutors online self-study program becomes more known, the company will be better able to maintain its ability to safely gain profit.

It would be beneficial for Team Tutors to expand its offerings by partnering with schools. Since students are the individuals that should be targeted for the purpose of marketing, it is beneficial to bypass the need to market to these individuals indirectly by establishing relationships with schools. Offering a percentage of profit to schools in exchange for student information, free practice test sessions, and a series of other benefits will allow Team Tutors to become the reliable test prep partner of schools in their area. Once a concrete plan has been made for this, it would be reasonable for the organization to expand its geography. However, it is beneficial for the business to grow slowly to ensure that it is able to maintain the quality of service that it provides and to grow effectively. Team Tutors will only remain a successful company if it is able to ensure that the individuals it hires are able to deliver the promises of the organization. Thus, expansion is only plausible if a reasonable number of qualified tutors, program developers for online systems, and marketing professionals are available to help the company achieve its expansion goals. It is plausible that Team Tutors will find that establishing effective partnerships with schools is enough to ensure that the company will be able to maintain its expected student base, although it will be in a better place to establish its geography once this venture is successful as well.
