Is there enough information in the article to determine its accuracy?

• I think this article is strictly based on a hypothesis. It doesn’t demonstrate any evidence on how mice can help individuals find the cure for cancer.  Though, the mice may have not died from cancerous cells that have been pigmented into their skin; it does not mean than human beings will be able to treat the disease the same as mice.  Mice and humans do not have the same cells and/or body parts, therefore the disease can affect the two living things differently.

 Does the information have a bias?

• I don’t think any information within this article is categorized as bias. However, I do believe this article is favored towards scientists and cancer patients.  Also, I this article should not be favored to individuals who are animal lovers because scientists are using mice as experiments and placing cancerous cells into their bodies.

 Does the information show evidence of scientific method?

• I believe the scientist is using the scientific method to demonstrate this investigation that she is creating. However, I believe she is experimenting more with research and trying different things if something may fail.

 What is the long-term impact of this information on humans?

• I think if this scientist is right, than human life can be changed significantly. Cancer is the second most deadly cause of humans within America, this is partly because there hasn’t been a cure found for the disease. However, if the scientist could use the mice to find a cause to cancer that will work and cure cancer, than a lot of lives will be saved.

 Could you use the information in the article to personally improve your life?

• I think if the article is updated when the research is finished than it could impact my life, as well as any individual’s life. Finding a cure for cancer can improve anyone’s life, therefore, if the article is proved to be true than it can improve everyone’s life. However, if it is just another scientific experiment and doesn’t exemplify evidence, than it is just another article about an idea from a scientist.
