The Pressure Ulcer Prevention Protocol Intervention, Article Review Example

The article sheds light on the prevalence of pressure ulcers citing the seriousness as well as significance of this healthcare episode that is persistent among the older patients. The consequences of the condition are slow recovery, pain, meddling with daily activities and disfigurement.

National collaboration has been put in place with a goal of averting pressure ulcers incidences (Aline, 2010).  The collaborative had another goal of working on the teamwork improvement in addition to healthcare providers teamwork in healthcare (Aline, 2010).  The article also records a 70% success in reduction of pressure ulcers that was a cause of applause as well as cheers for the implemented evidence-based practice. The incidences of pressure ulcers dropped to 0% leading to introduction of additional organizations to this important toolkit of deterrence of pressure ulcers. The article recommends the application of these practices which have played a crucial role in improving healthcare, declining health care bills as well as the life improvement.
