Summary

The Prince starts with Lorenzo de Medici’s address, within which Machiavelli seeks goodwill with the prince through an offering of his knowledge. He goes on to categorize the diverse types of states, which include republics, heritable princedoms, new princedoms, and assorted disparities. Machiavelli talks about princes who ascend to the throne via criminal acts. He discusses how a prince ought to lay strong groundwork, which take in good regulations and good armaments (Jacobus 213). He further explains that the two are paramount for survival. He further explains how Armed forces are disloyal and alienated; foreign support come already integrated into another master, and therefore are in some manner even more hazardous. Machiavelli ends The Prince through a reflection on good fortune and its function in human associations, and a call for a unified Italy. Analysis
