Pages: 1

Words: 290

Essay

Explain how the behavior fits the TPB

The establishment of the need to accomplish a particular activity ought to be set into the minds of the participants. They ought to be given an idea on how they would fully benefit from the activity thus getting their attention and approval of the situation. Only through this approach to behavioral adjustment would the target population be able to handle the conditions of self-motivation they would need to go through in order for them to become more productive in the health practice they are supposed to follow through.

What attitudes might be present that are promoting and preventing the desired behavior?

Since the target population is already at their retirement age, some could be undergoing particular laid-down attitude making it harder for them to engage in physical activities that are bound to help them out in their process of keeping their physical health strong. Nevertheless, the fact that they may have nothing more important to do apart from such option of health maintenance could allow them to be more appreciative of the matter.

What possible strategies might a public health professional use to change the priority populations’ more negative constructs?

Giving them an idea on how the activity would help them survive the challenges of old age more successfully could bring them into a more distinct state of stability as they accept the impact that the activity is to have on them at this point of their maturity. Healthcare professionals would also do well to help them with the motivation they need to submit to the program through  giving them choices that might be more practical and more fitting to the schedule they may have with other activities they would want to accomplish along with the proposed activity.
