I try to be nice, to give you a scent and clue

About the way I feel, but your eyes are cold.

You should know by now that my love is gold.

This is too much, I know you’re the special one.

The feeling comes back as soon as its gone.

Even if you don’t hear the same music I hear,

We have love to share and loneliness to fear.

This is too much, so many others love you.

I’m not jealous, but the hurt runs true

When I see so many who want what I desire.

I dream of keeping you to myself forever.

This is too much, every minute alone,

I feel myself growing older and remaining: one.

When I was young, love seemed easy and light,

Now time has changed desire to a crushing weight.

This is too much, all my hurt and sorrow,

The way I feel today, and I’ll still feel tomorrow….
