Tractors’, Inc. Management System, Case Study Example

Pages: 1

Words: 314

Case Study

The performance management system is an endless organization process that involves setting objectives that range from an individual to a team that is affiliated with meeting the company’s aim, evaluating its advancement, and developing workforceworkforce skills. If a company does not meet the aspects of an efficient system, its management can be compromised, resulting in an illegal system. This paper identifies potentially illegal aspects of Tractors Inc.’s current system and explores suggestions for making the system more legally sound.

Disparities in promotion procedures in the company’s system (Emily, 2017). The company awards reviews for proposed promotion based on gender roles where, for example, some female employees, who despite having exemplary work performance, have complained of dismissal due to their family setting responsibilities like handling their children at home.

Delays in rating reviews of employees and denial to keep copies of their performance result in loss of better opportunities (Gray, 1995). Employees are denied timely access to their performance appraisals, which subsequently limits them to pursuing better and rigid opportunities.

To make the system more legally sound, the firm should involve more regular performance feedback and reviews (Tayeb, 2005). Timely review feedback shapes the workers’ productivity and esteem into working to attain the organization goal as they feel they are actively involved in the company. The system should eradicate bias on promotion and incorporate fair gender promotion across the firm to settle the conflict and complaints on employees, which are attached to gender roles and responsibilities outside the company.

In conclusion, to avoid complaints and improve its operations, Tractors Inc. should consider reviewing the decade long management system in place and replace it with an effective one as suggested above.
