I appreciate the opportunity you have given me to demonstrate why I’m a good fit for the University of Virginia. I believe that my unique experiences have uniquely prepared me for entry into the Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy because I come from a family of public servants and have honed by already existing knowledge with work experience in the field. I think that your program is the only one that has the capability of helping me developing my current knowledge in a way that could help other people, which is my dream.

During my time at the Bureau of Economics and Information Bureau of Zhanjiang as an intern, I learned about economic development at the city level and at the Xunwen Office of Poverty Alleviation I learned of the needs of poor and sick children. I believe that these two experiences will enable me to analyze the living situations of many individuals and find strategic ways to improve their lifestyle. Since I also gained marketing experience at Security Daily, I believe that I am capable of raising awareness and fundraising for these causes.

Although my experience in the field of leadership and public policy has been adequate thus far, I require graduate level training in order to further define the ways I wish to achieve my goals. I am aware of these issues in a broad sense and require educational tools to make my plans possible and bring my experience to life. I believe that the University of Virginia is uniquely able to bring my dreams to life because of its high ranking compared to other universities and the demonstrated professionalism of the faculty. I know that if I am trained by your institution I will be able to succeed in my field of choice.
