Based on the Ideas of John Stuart Mill

How does one define himself and how does he utilize his being to reach particular goals that he has set for himself? This is the primary condition of thinking that John Stuart Mill intended to share on his written article regarding the ideas of utilitarianism. A person becomes relatively useful when he begins to realize that he is able to set a goal for himself and is able to gain control of elements that would bring him near towards such a dream. The desire to be happy is defined by Mill as a common human desire. The ways by which an individual tries to reach out to a goal to become happy in the end is specifically mentioned by Mill as the end result of following the theory of utilitarianism.

Pain and suffering are all part of the process by which a person becomes more relatively connected the possibilities of reaching his dreams. The willingness of a person to feel and experience such situations that may bring him uncomfortable emotions may at some point be the source of life-meaning that he is searching for. Being ‘useful’ in a sense becomes a true sense of realization for such individual hence making him utilize his personal capacities thus not only affecting himself but also the other individuals around him in a much positive manner. The desire to become more useful insists fully on how one realizes his utilitarian value as a person and as a member of a unified society.
