Ways to Maximize Gym Workouts and Attendance, Business Proposal Example

The goal of both maximizing gym workouts and gym attendance has been established to help Gold Hercules Gym realize its potential in the marketplace, while also providing our already existing customers with a maximum workout experience. In essence, with this initiative we want to improve the service to our current customers while also promoting to future customers that our Gym is the optimal location for fitness and physical training.

This goal requires a strategy that will hit both of these intended aims. Accordingly, I propose the following five ways to realize our objectives:

• We need to have our existing on-staff fitness instructors more radically engaged with our customers. Our instructors need to become even more committed to helping existing customers maximize their workouts, offering tips and direct instruction. A friendly and engaging approach communicates to the customer that at our gym we are not only interested in turning a profit, but in making sure that the client maximizes the potential offered by our gym.
• The establishment of more group related fitness activities. We need to transform Gold Hercules from a place where individuals work out, to a community where individuals work out. This will create the sense of family in our organization, becoming social and open to the community. Joining our gym is also about joining a team. In this way, the encouragement between gym members and their bonding will help maximize their workouts and perhaps reach out to others to join the Gold Hercules community.
• Create a bonus system for attendance. We want to communicate the message that we are just not a gym, we want to be a successful promoter of fitness in the community. Merely having gym memberships to increase our profit is not our aim: we do not want 1000s of gym memberships, but only a few people working out and actually using this membership. We are not only a business, but have an ethical imperative to promote fitness in the community: such a bonus plan would show the community precisely this side of our operations.
• Organize intra-business events. Gold Hercules is part of a community that stands for the promotion of health and fitness. Exercise is, however, only one part of this equation, although an essential part. Proper dieting is one of the key aspects health and fitness. By making partnerships with other businesses in the area, for example, restaurants and grocery stores that support a healthy lifestyle, we are showing our commitment to the community. Various specials and other offers could be carried out with health conscious eateries, encouraging individuals to live a healthy lifestyle and change their mindset. This would not only strengthen our business, but also the community’s business.
• Offer personalized workout plans to our clients. A lot of people do not capitalize on their gym membership because of a busy schedule. The last thing they want to do after work is go to a gym. We have to engage them on a personal level to encourage their own health. We can more aggressively develop and offer personalized work out plans with our professionals. This creates relationships that will build trust and a desire to meet expectations. We will also demonstrate that to our fitness community that we care.

These are some basic ideas of how I would accomplish the stated goals. Feedback is of course welcome. If we aggressively pursue a strategy along the lines outlined above, we can not only succeed as a business, but fulfill an important role in our community.
