Why the Hate, Movie Review Example

The main forms of hatred that are projected towards the USA and its western allies from the Islamic community have consolidated in the Middle East.  In simplistic terms it stems from intervening in local political affairs of other countries for politically motivated reasons. Many view this as exploitation of the people in order to gain access to the oil wealth of the region. The West has little or scant regard for the people of the Middle East and their cultural or religious beliefs. In addition, this has been made more complicated by Western Government supporting tyrannical leaders in countries like Tunisia, Egypt and Libya.  The media has illustrated items like that of Tear Gas Cannisters, as used by the army in these countries, that shows they were made in the USA.   This shows how Western Governments have supported these tyrannical leaders by supplying them with arms and weapons.

The Bush Administration involved itself in two major conflicts in the Middle East and carried on the campaign with very black and white vision.  As such the execution of foreign policy in the region was viewed as political, hostile and with the intent to do lasting damage that would promote instability in the region.  The support of Israel by the powerful political lobby in Washington and the rejection of the Palestinian peace movement has further galvanised Islamic feeling against the West.  It is without doubt that G.W. Bush and Tony Blaire of Britain have created tremendous political instability in the region.

One of the most important acts of stereotyping is that portrayed by the Media and pointing out that Islam is associated with Terrorists and this depicts people, mainly of Middle East origin as potential enemies of the State.  The act of terrorism committed on 9/11 by Islamic extremists has made this situation even worse. This together with two wars that have raged in both Iraq and Afghanistan resulting in the loss of American lives at the hands of Islamic extremist elements.  The media has not really helped in demonstrating the bigger picture here.
