3D Animation, Movie Review Example

Inland Empire is a movie which is set in Hollywood. The movie is ahead of its time in its genre due to Lynch´s use of digital movie where the viewer loses track of time. This movie takes advantage of the digital  realm in order to engage the viewer. The movie is established in a digital environment  where things take place at different places at the same time. The movie appears to be as if it were in a dream state (Lynch, 2006).

Madame Sousa is the maternal image in the animated film. she raises her grandson , Champion in order to help him to achieve his goals. She tries to stimulate his interest with a dog and subsequently buys him a tricycle. Champion falls in love with the idea of cycling and grows up to be a Tour de France champion. . Soon af6terward, he is abducted by French mobsters who use the youth in order to place bets on a contraption that they have devised which involves cycling. Mme Sousa encounters the Belleville triplets. They become united through their passion for music. They rescue Champion from the mobsters and use the cycling contraption to make their escape (Chornet, 2003).

The context of the movie was in 1941. The setting was in the Post Depression era. Citizen Kane is based on the life of the magnate William Randolph Hearst. The movie examines the lifestyle of William Randolph Hearst and attempts to critique the thirst for power that Hearst manifested. It was controversial due to Welles being the lead actor and the director of the movie (Welles, 1941).

Miyazaki uses the name Princess Mononoke as the title of the film. In Japanese mononoke is translated as a spirit or phantasm. The movie involves a conflict between the deities of the forests  and the humans who want to consumer the produce of the forest. The film was set in the Muromachi era  which spanned from the mid fourteenth century to the late sixteenth century (Miyaszaki, 1997).

In the interactive video game titled Heavy Rain, the protagonist exerts his power by applying the long periods of rainfall in order to commit homicides by drowning. The decisions which are taken by the player affect the outcome of the game. The game is played on the Sony Play Station 3 Platform.

The game that was played is Sin City. A movie was also made on the basis of the game which is titled Sin City: A Dame to Kill for . The movie takes place in the same city as the video game. Thew women are perceived as demure and sexy. There is the conceptualization that the women in  Sin city are desired by everyone and they are willing to sacrifice for them.

Miyazaki s theme that is recurrent in his movies  are the correlation between humanity and technology feminism and the maintenance of the robust pacifist ethic. The protagonist of his movies are frequently independent women  who are strong. Mayazaki´s work is based on anime.

The importance of the classification of the genre by the entertainment media is important due to the characteristics that not everyone wishes to view movies which have a violent or sexual content. The categorization of the films by their genre and rating enables the viewer to discern what they would like or not like to view.

One of the most difficult genres to categorize is science fiction. In science fiction, the subjects are usually focused around amazing technology, spaceships and lasers.There are times that science fiction can be dismissed as fantasy . Science fiction is one of the most interest gathering genres of cinema and game themes.

Science fiction was invented with H.G. Welles and Mary Shelley´s Frankenstein. Mary Shelley´s Frankenstein is one of the most interesting science fiction themes due to its use of amazing technology in order to resurrect a man who had been configured from a collection of dead parts.  In making a long subject concise, science fiction will continue to astound the viewers due to the premise that the technology which has not yet been applied is used in order to detail the stories.

In Frankenstein, the theme of the story is the attempt to mimic god. Frankenstein, the creative doctor relishes in his creation when he says that he has made life with his own two hands. Dr. Frankenstein becomes enamored with his creation. His obsession continues to the point where when the townspeople come for his creation, he prefers to perish with his creation instead of letting the  townspeople destroy his creation. The movie Frankenstein demonstrates a man´s obsession with his creation. Dr. Frankenstein becomes so obsessed with his creation that he isolates himself from his young and beautiful wife. Science fiction will continue to thrill audiences for years to come.
