Reaction Paper

What’s in a music that makes it rather compelling to the reactions and the interest of the audience? Besides the rhythm and the lyrics of the songs that accompany such arrangements, there is the performance of those who are singing the said pieces of work. Notably, every singer, unique as they are, have different approaches to determining how they would interpret a particular musical arrangement and how they are going to give attention to how they send the message of the songwriter while putting their own artistry into the piece. What makes such music remarkable is measured through how they mix up their talent with the concept that is being portrayed in a particular presentation while giving life to the music in a way that it is able to communicate with the audience.

In the concert of Byron Martin Turk and  Daniel E. Lawhonm the aspect of good musicality and artistry could be considered present and evidently obvious especially in the manner by which both artists intended to interpret their own personal songs and other arrangements that they wanted to cover. Notably, what could be considered obvious between both performers is the fact that they engage in full control of the arrangement of the songs that they sing. Being excellent performers as they are, these singers show their audience what is really meant by good music and what is understood to be the essence of good artistry especially when it comes interpreting the message of specific musical arrangements that are supposed to give attention to what the song writers actually want to convey.

To keep the focus of the audience on the music and the performances, the stage for the concert was relatively simply. The backup musical players are set to take on the stage while the spotlight focuses on the performers, the singers. What was remarkably interesting about Byron Martin Turk was his capacity to turn almost every common song into a highly sophisticated piece that is likely most likely celebrated by the audience due to the authenticity of the presentation of each song he sings. On the other hand, Daniel Lawhorn gives life to every song through mixing up the different genres altogether and playing along with the arrangements hence making his presentations more reflective and enjoyable for the listeners.

The concert of these two musicians shows that music is indeed an element of connection among humans, something more than just a piece of art. It is a form of communication that can be determined by every performer depending on the message that is being sent out to the readers. From the formulation of the arrangement of the music, towards the idea of putting the musical arrangement into life through putting on lyrics, the creation of music plays a great part on expressing one’s self. The many workers behind the creation of one specific song is given life when the performer is actually able to embody the message that is wanted to be sent out by the people behind the creation of such artistic piece.; such characteristic of excellent performance was strongly presented by both Turk and Lawhorn.

Concerts such as the one noted herein gives a distinct indication on what music is all about and how it is able to determine the worth of a specific work. The reaction given by the audience is one that is more than just the regular merriment about music. The satisfaction of the listeners after they have heard the complete set of songs set out for them to listen is the real gain that the performers get from such an act. Music is repaid with appreciation rather than money. Turk and Lawhorn are both excellent musicians who are able to determine the condition of thinking of their listeners and are able to connect with them trough the music that they perform.
