David Attenborough’s The Truth about Climate Change: Summary and Feedback

The film the truth about climate change is a two-part documentary that shows the undertaking of David Attenborough in discovering how global warming is changing our beloved planet. The entire film focuses and revolves around the future of the world. Since the film is divided into two parts: the first part is the attempt of Attenborough to inaugurate the cause and relation of global warming and events such as the swarming of the insects in Africa to Hurricane Katrina; the second part is about the assessment of all the predictions about global warming. It also provides insights on how to lessen the impact that such occurrence can do to the planet and its inhabitants. In order to highlight the issues of global warming, Attenborough investigates and narrates the various phenomena that can happen in the future such as the rising of the sea levels and new diseases.

The content of the film is presented outstandingly. It is a good documentary overall because of the well-balanced content. Although the film is presented through the eyes of Attenborough, it cannot be denied that he left a room for people to form their own opinion on the issue. The good narration and editing laid out the facts for people to see and experience. It made a clear demonstration of how our planet, the plants, the animals and the ecosystem, and humans are at risk (Nelson, 98).

The film is highly informative and it is a good source for people to know more about the environment and the world. It is a bearer of the message that humans should strive harder to protect the world not just for themselves but for the future generation (Tester, 57).
