Business Proposal

The need for individuals from business organizations being sent out for organizational expansion has dramatically increased at the entrant of the 21st century system of business operations. It could be realized that such a need has been strongly dedicated to the course of creating outside connections that would stand as branched out subjects of main companies in particular locations abroad. Sending business representatives in such areas as expatriates has then become an inevitable need to give attention to. For Volkswagen, such a consideration should be given attention to. The basic idea is to put the right person to fill the right position.

To note, before the proposed system for selection of expatriates is presented in this document, a relative understanding of what expatriate program is about should be given particular attention to. In the diagram presented below, the different points of consideration is shown for dependable information:

Selection Program

From this particular diagram, it could be observed that expatriates are expected to have the capability to handle social responsibilities especially related to international camaraderie issues with the members of the new society that they are entering into.

This includes a sense of understanding political and network issues regarding international relations. Part of this is also a sense of learning that is likely to build up the capacity of the individual to adjust to the new environment that he or she is going to be involved in hence becoming a great bridge between the main office and the branch officers as well as staff members. Hence to make sure that the expatriate is able to handle such requirements, it is expected that the individuals to be chosen for an expatriate assignment have the characters as follows:

  • Experience on human resource management focused on diversity
  • Experience on handling international political and social requirements
  • Proven capacity to adjust to new environment
  • Capacity to improve the learning and research process for development in an international scope

These criteria for selection specifically involve the capacity of each chosen individual to be able to handle the challenges of living and dealing with international members of the organization. From this point of selection, it is expected that the individuals chosen are to respond to different business changes that are included within the package of expansion that the organization hopes to go through. The selection process should actually impose a good intention on imposing directive condition on how each individual that has qualified for the selection process be subjected to undergo a training period especially when it comes to the need of having them adjusted to the situation and the environment that he or she is going to be under. This process shall better impose a sense of development on the part of the organization and the individual involved in the process of expatriate program application.
