Football Diplomacy, Article Review Example

Al Ain played with Lekhwiya of Qatar on a home ground game. They were able to edge out Lekhwiya by beating them 5-0. Asamoah Gyan scored the fourth and fifth goals sealing the win of Al Ain (Cashman 98). The win made Al Ain to be ahead by 10 points and they remain at the top of the table in-group C. The results of the game made Zlatko, Al Ain coachbe very happy as the team was aiming to win Asian champions’ league. Lekhwiya lost the game, as they did not scoreeven a single goal. Claude Amin who is the goalkeeper of Lekhwiya assisted his team by saving some of the shots, butthey lost the game.

The game between Al Ain and Tractor Sazi made Zlatko Dalic Al Ain coach happy. This is because they earned one pointafter scoring 2-2 on an away game in Asian Champions’ league. Saeed from Tractor scored the first goal, which madethem lead by one goal. After half time, Mohammed and Asamoah scored twice in a span of three minutes. This made Al Ain be ahead of Tractor by one goal (Bubalo 71).

Zlatko Dalic, Al Ain coach, praised his players after coming out with a draw in their game with Al Lttihad of Saudi Arabia. This made Al Ain be on top of the table in-group C of Asian champions’ league. Littihad scored the first goal in the game when, Sharahili who is a defender of Al Ain scored his own team in the 22^nd minute. Abdulrahman made it 1-1 when he scored an awarded spot kick. Zlatko praised his team as they tried by making it a draw even after losing one of their defender Alex who was injured.

Zlatko Dalic has a hard time to prepare his team Al Ain to face the Al Lttihad from Saudi Arabia who have worn the ACL twice in Mecca. He is thinking on tactics they can employ for them to beat Al Littihad (Burdsey & Kuljit 65). The Al Ain management is hoping for better results from Saudi Arabia with the lead of Dalic. The Littihads, on the other hand are determined to win the game as per their history. The return of Abdulrahman from the knee injury gave Al Ain morale as he has missed several games for one month.
