Future Plans, Admission Essay Example

I am a divorced mother of a four-year old child and even though divorced women face more challenges in Saudi society than men, I am determined to give my son the best future I am capable of. I did both high school as well as undergraduate with over 90 percent grades and am looking forward to pursuing my graduate degree in ABC at TAMU-CC from fall 2013. I also have extensive experience as a teacher.

I have always enjoyed reading and my life experiences have further helped me realize the importance of education. If it were not for my education, I could not have taken care of my son in a society where women rarely work. I will bring unique perspectives to TAMU-CC and plan to actively participate in on-campus activities to interact with people from other cultures and expand my thinking horizon.

I plan to pursue a career in the education field because just as education has been a blessing for me, I want to share my knowledge and experiences with other students and help them realize their true potential. One of my primary objectives is to be an inspiration to my son and provide him with the best education I am capable of. I have always believed educated mothers have greater positive influence on children than fathers and now the time has come to prove it.

I have researched several colleges and universities and believe TAMU-CC is the best fit to my objectives and goals. I look forward to taking advantage of all the in-class and on-campus learning opportunities at TAMU-CC and hopefully, will be an exemplary ambassador of the college in the real world.
