How My Perspectives of Life and Morality Will Enable Me to Contribute to the Liberty University’s Mission, Admission Essay Example

In a contemporary life all of my moral values and principles are defined by only one book, which is the Bible. I believe it is the most relevant and essential reading one can ever imagine. I would assume that all the moral principles of current society are based upon the Ten Commandments, which actually define what things are unacceptable. Thus, we have laws implemented against murder and theft which makes it illegal. I think the person who obeys all Ten Commandments can consider himself/herself highly moral, because these are the basis of ethical and life values. However, the main theme revealed in the Bible is love and all the commandments are actually based on it. Love is the only thing one needs to live a decent life, and we have to love God as well as each other. Therefore, Jesus revealed the greatest commandment: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” No one will ever commit anything immoral or unethical if he/she expresses pure love, thus enjoying what life brings. So, the Ten Commandments define my moral values and life principles and I try to follow them really hard. Also I try to give and accept love, for I think it is both-sided. I think my perspectives will contribute to the Liberty’s mission for I will definitely become a Christ-centered man and fulfill what is expected from me. I believe that Liberty University will help me enhance my values, knowledge, and skills that I will implement to impact and improve tomorrow’s world making it moral and more ethical.
