Words: 677

Movie Review

The paper mainly compares the presentation by Richard Daley work in the Who Sat by the Door that elaborates the intent of the character Dan Freeman. Hence, demonstrate the impact of collective effort in overcoming the threats of racism and gaining freedom and equality. On the same note, the analysis relates the association between Dan Freeman and Joy in the apartment as a mutual friendly impromptu visit. The play reveals the racial orientation in the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) and the FBI as their composition was without black representation. In fact, the sentiments of Mrs. Hennington facilitated the recruitment of Freeman as the only black in the CIA. The presence of Freeman in the CIA offers a reflection of social integration to occur within the agency and as the only black (Marable and Mullings, 72).

Furthermore, the character is the token black man that receives recognition by securing the desk job as the secretary in the section of Secret Production Centre. In the social events, the speeches of Freeman often appeal to the public. Hence, influence the racial, political waves in Washington D.C. a city dominated by the black middle class. Besides, Freeman had the intention to resign after the completion of the training at CIA to return to Chicago and participate in social work for the blacks in the country. The plan undergoes a reasonable period elapse to eliminate the eventuality of suspicion that may crop in the agency (Lock, and Murray, 34).

After the successful resignation, Freeman teams up with other fighters and escalate the urban warfare in the city of Chicago. The obvious approach to the unrest racial discrimination movement involved the four simple tactics. Firstly, the team grounds the operation in the new City Hall facility by blowing up the mayor Negro’s office. Next, the team collectively paints the car that belonged to the mayor in yellow and white colors. Then takes over and put under their control the radio station in the city. Besides, the group managed to kidnap the Illinois National Guard Unit commander Colonel Evans drugs then releases him after some time. The climax of the play is the constant manipulation of sniper raids and killings of the National Guards and the attack and murder of the Sergeant Dawson in the apartment (Lock, and Murray, 36).  In addition, the dispatch of the group to the twelve principal towns in the U.S.A intensify the fight against racial discrimination through guerilla war that attack and kill the opposition.

The continued formation of the parallel freedom fighter groups by the black had the intention to suppress the constant assassination of the blacks and white supremacy in the country. On the other side, the response of the National Guard War severe as they branded the movement as a communal riot a free fire zone. Therefore, the reaction of the guards was lethal and swift against the movement’s activities. The play capitalized on the holistic view of the significance of the black’s protagonist identity in that every object that always exists tend to reclaim their place to survive the danger of complete elimination. For instance, to notion held by the Jamaicans that their existence is in the fulfillment of the West pleasure propels their film industry.  In fact, the public community groups relied on the theory of politics as usual. Thus, champions the critical view of the government into the issue of racial discrimination. However, the intense fight back and investigation into the activities of the group by the FBI restrained the reemergence. Similarly, the detention of George Jack and Friedrich Engel restored sanity in the country as the group underwent a suppressive moments (Marable and Mullings, 78).

Finally, the plays conform at the point that the stereotype and narrow sense of interpreting the blackness regulate the redefines the entire post-soul artistic film identity. Moreover, the progressive rebellions created a sensitive tool that facilitated the implementation of national reforms.
