I am a Math major at University of Texas, Austin which is one of the most competitive universities in the world. I took some courses in health sciences as a requirement of general education and became interested in physical sciences particularly rehabilitation and nutrition. Rehabilitation and nutrition fascinate me because the primary focus is on a healthy lifestyle to remain in optimal health rather than medications. This is why I have decided to pursue a career in physical health sciences because it doesn’t only match my interest but is also a great fit to my skills and background in Math.

I want to pursue a career in which I will not only excel at but will also be able to make difference in others’ lives. I read on a diverse range of topics and realize that the demand for physical health services will continue to grow, especially due to aging of population in many developed nations including the U.S. and South Korea. I have acquired a strong understanding of best business practices in the physical sciences area through internship and reading industry journals which should enable me to make valuable contributions to class discussions. Having lived in both the U.S. and South Korea, I will also bring unique perspectives to the program.

I have done a comprehensive research on medical schools around the world and your university offers the best fit to my academic and career objectives. I have been particularly impressed by the university’s balanced approach to in-class learning and out-of-class experiences.
