Statement of Purpose for admission at Morgan State University, in major MBA

It is evident that agriculture develops and thus we must always advance our knowledge and understanding in all fields and the nature of agricultural activities. The 21^st century has been the time of rapid development, and significant technological advancement in agriculture. It is evident that there is a need to keep in touch with these changes in agriculture, thus a necessity to have appropriate skills in administration and management. My interest in administration specifically in the field of animal production has developed since when I was an undergraduate student. While I was an Agricultural science student (Animal production and breeding), my interest to pursue MBA developed. This occurred because of my possession of the ability to manage and utilize my time, and the ultimate achievement of results realized through my initiative, and the ability to embrace teamwork. I am a self-motivated person having a strong believe in hard working. I am a trustworthy person with various abilities in communication acquired through business and training.

In the year 2000, I got admission to Qassim University (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) where I pursued my bachelor’s degree in Agriculture and Science (Animal Production and Breeding). I undertook various subjects during my entire study, which include poultry nutrition, genetics, and poultry production. My research in poultry management and production with Dr. Adams at the University of Qassim has spurred my interest and urge to venture in the field. Currently I am carrying out a project in poultry breeding at Pure Breed Poultry Co. where I work as Marketing and Technical service support manager. The project has enabled me acquire administrative experience and skills necessary for animal breeding and production.

Working in various poultry farms, in different positions with various departments, has enabled me put my abilities into practice. It is noteworthy that the task of managing farms as a farm manager has been challenging without having prior knowledge in administration. I, therefore, want to study MBA to enable me function effectively and efficiently in the field.

I would like to pursue this programme at the Department of Business Management and Economics at the Qassim University. I am convinced that involvement and participation in your Masters program will equip me with appropriate skills and outstanding experience in research, which will act as advancement in my dream of becoming an exceptional manager in poultry farming.
