My Future, Admission Essay Example

There are some periods in everybody’s lives when we should decide what our future should look like. Choice of profession and education is one of the most important moments, crucial for further development. It’s extremely important to choose your job without external influence because it must satisfy you. Commitment to your work means that you will never regret choosing this career. So I was thinking a lot of my future goal and came up with idea that I want to be a doctor. I think that medicine is what I want to do because I want to help people and be involved in scientific work. Though I have chosen medicine as my profession, I am not sure what specialty I like most; there is a wide variety of specialties and I am not sure yet what is mine but for first years of study it does not matter.

My educational goal is to become a doctor through studying in undergraduate school, then in four-year university, and then in graduate school. I think that I have a long way to go, but it is worth doing.  When I thought of my future education, I realized that I should improve my grades and studied more in order to succeed in my future education and work.

Good undergraduate school can provide me with good basics for future knowledge and improve my chances to enter the university. I am ready to study hard and learn a lot to be a good doctor. It will also allow me to strike a balance between study and building my social life.

After undergraduate school I deem it wise to enter four year university. The training program is common for all students so I will have enough time to choose my future specialty. Probably, I will become a cardiologist, oncologist, or surgeon. I think that my attentiveness and diligence will help me to learn all disciplines medicine education consists of. May be, some other students are afraid of many sciences and hard work included in it, but that is not about me.

For me, the main objectives of my study are: to learn how to apply the latest achievements of modern medicine in disease detecting and treatment; to apply my social skills to my medical practice and care – i.e., to combine sympathy and professionalism in order to help people; to realize myself as a part of team of experts; to conduct research, to share my knowledge and promote healthy lifestyle. I am motivated to make people better through my professionalism and caretaking. Becoming a skilled physician is my goal, and I want to apply all my best skills and abilities to join national big Health Care team.

University years are excellent for educating, but also for continuation of social life. I am an open and friendly person and I want to make new friends while living on campus. Also, I want to get involved in the college community, student’s organizations and research work. I am ambitious to realize myself as a public figure in university and to involve other students in scientific and other campus communities. Such activities will keep me informed about (and involved in) latest achievements of contemporary medicine, so one day I will be able to use them.

After four years of university and, perhaps, one year of internship, I am going to enter graduate school and spend there several years, depending on my future specialty. Then I envision my future as PhD, and reputable doctor.

Just like all people I want to have a family. In my opinion, the best time for marriage is after completion of specialty training program, may be after or within fellowship. A regular work and steady income will allow me to maintain the family and hone my skills as practicing doctor.

That is how I envisage my future.  Probably, some circumstances may change and my education may be longer than I expected. Whatever happens, I will get my PhD degree and work to save human lives.
