Roles and Responsibilities
For this project, each team member must be able to recognize his or her responsibilities and to be proactive in working towards viable solutions to improve team productivity as a whole. For this team, the strategy is to provide information regarding vaccinations and to maximize the overall purpose and intent of a team-based project plan and the work that members must provide. This serves as a critical reminder that all team members have a responsibility to make the most of the team experience and to be proactive in working towards a set of solutions that will positively impact the team as a whole. The vaccination program also includes an external member who will provide expert knowledge from a physician perspective regarding infectious disease and prevention with the use of vaccines.
Proposed Timeline
The proposed timeline is as follows:
- Check in Mondays: Each team member is responsible for checking in on Mondays in order to provide any new information to the team, which will be read by each member
- Wednesday evenings: All team assignments will be reviewed, finalized and updated after 7PM
- Sundays: All assignments will be posted after 7PM
- Saturdays: All team members must provide any updates and/or corrections to the team post-person prior to 7PM
These timelines are strict because they enable each team member to participate at a high level and to make the most of the situation in order to prevent further unnecessary complications regarding all team assignments and to maximize team participation in the project and what will be offered.
Topic and Needs Assessment
Infectious diseases among children is a critical concern that requires further investigation. Education for parents must serve as a key priority in order to ensure that patients receive the appropriate vaccination treatments in a timely manner to improve their overall health and wellbeing. Some parents are hesitant to participate in vaccination protocols for their children due to perceptions regarding the risk of autism; therefore, these misconceptions must be clarified in order to effectively produce the intended outcomes for children to improve their health (Dixon & Clarke, 2012). Furthermore, parents must be provided with the tools and resources that are required to make informed decisions to improve vaccination rates for children (Nowak, Gellin, MacDonald, & Butler, 2015).
Significance of the Problem
Vaccinations provide significant benefits to many population groups throughout the world. However, access to these resources is often limited in many countries; therefore, this requires a number of elements that will effectively contribute to new opportunities to improve access and to generate new ideas to facilitate success in administering vaccines to those most in need. This requires an assessment of existing tools and resources to ensure that vaccines are administered at a high level and provide further support for patients who require these tools to improve their health (La Torre et.al, 2012). With these tools in place, vaccines are able to provide numerous benefits to patients and ensure that they are protected from unnecessary risks regarding disease in many ways.
Addressing the Health Concern
Vaccination protocols and related educational programs must provide a high level of support and guidance in treating patients who will primarily benefit from these tools, as well as providing education to parents and other groups regarding the advantages of vaccinations as a whole (Eskola, Duclos, Schuster, & MacDonald, 2015). This is an important tool because it reflects a greater need to examine vaccinations and what is required to facilitate growth among groups where vaccination use is less than ideal. Vaccinations provide an advantage in protecting many population groups from unnecessary risk and in supporting a framework that will impact the success of these protocols to achieve successful results.
Importance for Nurses
Nurses must serve as key facilitators of vaccine education and the need for these tools in treating many population groups in need of further support and guidance to treat a variety of diseases. Nurses provide further support and guidance in administering vaccines to patients and in providing education to parents and other groups regarding their benefits, as well as any risks or side effects that may be evident. This process supports the continued growth and expansion of efforts to improve patient care quality and to optimize vaccination protocols at the highest possible level, using the tools and resources that are available in order to produce effective results for large groups of patients.
Selection of the Topic
Vaccines are a critical component of the prevention of many infectious diseases and have a significant impact on quality of life for different populations throughout the world. Therefore, their administration is invaluable to nurses and to the medical community as a whole. As a result, educating patients regarding the role of vaccinations has been instrumental in facilitating their increased use and in providing greater access to populations in need of these tools to improve their overall health and wellbeing at a high level. This will ensure that they are able to receive vaccinations to support their health and to improve the general wellbeing of people throughout the world.
