• I believe that the scientists within this article researched a significant amount of information in understanding Incyte’s drug Jakafi. This drug is an approval for individuals who exemplify intermediate or high-risk myelofibrosis.  The drug is believed to limit symptoms and treatment options for patients.

• I don’t think any information within this article is categorized as bias. However, I do believe this article is favored towards individuals with myelofibrosis and any disease that the drug Jakafi can help.

 Does the information show evidence of scientific method?

• I believe in order to pass this drug and be FDA approved, the scientists and the creators had to do a lot of research and investigation on this product. It isn’t easy to get a product, especially a scientific drug, approved by FDA. Therefore, I believe that the scientists had to construct a vital plan to make sure that the drug is successful and works, as it should.

 What is the long-term impact of this information on humans?

• I think this article discusses a drug that could help individuals in a significant way. The drug can improve individual’s health, which is dealing with myelofibrosis, greatly. Also, the drug is proven to reduce spleen volume for patients within 48 weeks.  This is a significant improvement to the average placebos that patients were currently taken, which actually worsen symptoms and increased their spleen.

• I do not suffer from this disease, therefore I wont benefit from this drug. However, individuals who are diagnoses with myelofibrosis will benefit from this article greatly.
