How BSN Nursing Degree and Work Experiences in the Hospital Have Influenced My Ability to Become a Leader in Nursing Field, Personal Statement Example

Nursing is a very challenging and demanding career, however I feel the rewards have been great and that my education has thoroughly prepared me to embark on this career. I really enjoy being able to help and care for people, and the field of nursing allows me to connect with patients on a personal and in-depth level that appeals to me greatly and drew me to this field over a decade ago.

Over the past ten years, I have accrued a wealth of experience in the nursing field- including two years as a physicians assistant, five years as a junior clinical nurse, six years as a senior clinical nurse and four years as head nurse at a local hospital. The healthcare industry is field for dedicated, reliable, and trusting people, the nursing field in particular is ideal for people who are able to foster close relationships with people quickly.

Not only do I possess these skills, but I take pride in my work and love having the ability to work closely with people on a daily basis. The role of nursing is quickly changing as nurses are needing to become far more involved in the welfare of their patients than ever before. This places far more responsibility on those both in the healthcare field, as well as those considering a position in the healthcare field. Not only am I up for the challenges of the changing and dynamic field of nursing, I have no doubt that this field is my calling and that I was born to work in the nursing field and share my passion with others.
