By the end of 1927, Stalin did consolidate hi leadership of the Soviet Union. After consolidation, he opted immediate to change to industrialization by a five-year plan. Pertinently, the plan was to commence by 1928. Here, the plan involves the gradual collection of the soviet agriculture voluntarily, although Stalin decided to force the farmers to start collecting by the first year of the plan. Due to the above, there was a temporary retreat by the farmers from coercion. Due to the resistant by peasants to coercion caused an endangerment to the plantation of the spring. Despite of the backdrop of the violence it is fortunate to realize that the drive for industrialization. It is pertinent to note that according to his message to the business executive, it is clear that Stalin wanted Russia to develop rapidly due to the following motives domestic and foreign concern and further he drew upon proletarian internationalism and Russian nationalism as key factors. Further, Stalin wanted Russia to develop so first because of avoiding the socialist of fatherland to be unbeaten and again to not lose its independence. The further plans of Stalin to Russia were a well-industrialized country. Industrialization was urgent because Russia was far behind in development as compared to advanced countries.
In both document there is evident of militarization of political thought. Since Stalin was a leader, he used his leadership to enforce what he thinks is beneficial to the Russian natives. For instance, he urges the peasants to start collecting soviet agriculture, which was initially, a voluntary process. After wards, he used force as opposed to the initial agreement, this is one of the evident of militarization of the thoughts, and this is evident in the both documents. Again, he used authoritative approach when addressing his people, for instance, he says if the country will not be industrialized they will be beaten and be enslaved.
According to Lenin and Stalin in the two document, they need there people to have a submissive relationship with the regime (Stalin, 45). They demand that they should work extra harder as opposed to the time of war. With the submissiveness of the peasant, they will get to the place they need to reach faster. However, the spirit of submission and hard work will make the whole nation to industrialize faster. Therefore, they wanted a submission and hard working relationship with the regime.
According to the passage, it is pertinent to note that both Lenin and Stalin had a relating personality. They were both nationalists and revolutionists; the above is evident in the manner to which they address their people and their plans of industrialization and electrification they had. It is pertinent to note that, they managed to lead their people in protecting their country against war that is a sign of nationalism. After wards, they decided to unite people and make good plans for the country development, which again is a sign of revolutionist. Therefore, with the above evidence it is clear that they were both nationalism and revolutionists as well.
In conclusion, it is worth to note that the essay talks about the Russian industrialization. Further, Lenin and Stalin are the leaders that led Russian to industrialize. The essay outlines the above by analyzing two documents.
