Speech

Is there any flamboyance created when women/men with their breast, buttocks full body and  mons veris/ mons pubis exposed, walk not only on Miami beaches, but roam major  avenues in the downtown environment, as well as  rendering a nudity viewing service at  night clubs? This is the question critics who believe that nudity in Miami is a curse ask all the time. In my opinion it would be a welcomed change in scenery, especially, on a hot summer day. Nude, men and children of all ages, races and social classes enjoying the streets as if this were their normal culture. No one watching their sacred body parts. What a psychedelic display of human beauty and aesthetics!

Consequently, I advance that nudity should be allowed In Miami once appropriate measures are taken to protect nube participants from public taunting, exploitation and over reaction. As such, licensing for persons practicing nudity in public or private venues should be obtained.Precisely,  the decision go nude must be personal with no prejudice by opinion polls.

While this is my point of view there are specific advantages and disadvantages of nudity in Miami. Three advantages are when practiced at night clubs revenue could be created for business and the state, At the personal level people will have a chance to exercise right to free expression and the third advantage person who are desirous of viewing body parts  other than theirs have opportunities to do so legally. Three disadvantages is if the legal infrastructure is loose children could be groomed into prostitution. Secondly the society could be corrupt in values pertaining human sexuality and thirdly people could become disrespectful towards the sacredness of the human body.

In explaining the value of these three advantages proposed, already analysts have discovered that nudity in Miami currently is illegal, but socially accepted on the beaches (Deer 1). Therefore, with a profound legal infrastructure more people will be allowed access to night clubs that earn revenues for conducting business legally. At personal need would be met by  people will have a  being allowed the opportunity to exercise  their right to free expression  within legal boundaries. Within the same legal jurisdiction the third advantage whereby a person desirous of viewing body parts other than theirs have an opportunity doing so within a legal frame work, is facilitated.

Supporting evidence for nudity in Miami relates to an incident whereby the Miami Herald Newspaper eported  that French women in their sixties still sunbath. It was asserted that their activity was not as a means to be distasteful, but as a way to show their feminine achievements (French Women Bid Topless Sunbathing 404). The act of being topless should, on the other hand, be viewed as a way of conservativeness. In Miami, the activity is said to have started over a century ago and that is one thing that the law finds completely difficult to eradicate this culture.

However, the disadvantages must not be bypassed by the benefits of legalizing nudity in Miami. Essentially, arguments have been that nudity encourages many ills in the society. For example, social degradation by initiating inappropriate sexual conduct such as adultery, rape, sodomy lesbianism and even incest. Exposure of one’s  full naket body creates sexual inticement if not regulatecan lead to irresponsible sexual behaviors. Nudity can inhibit the county’s efforts in addressing  the spread of sexually transmitted diseases.

In concluding, Anja Rubik argues that while nudity regarding revenue creation, personal expression and satisfying curiosity has its benefits observing some women find it disgusting. They cannot grasp the sense in a woman exposing her body publicly. Further in balancing her discourse she contends that covering up women’s bodies would resolve their antifeminist issues (Rubik 1). Consequently, practicing nudity in Miami is benefical ast this time.
