Strengths and Weakness, Admission Essay Example

My strong mathematical and statistical skills are core strength of my academic personality. Secondly, I have been born with an interest for business affairs and economics having been fathered by a processional accountant, hence I grown up amidst piles of ledgers and financial statements. This forms my second strength, which is: natural accounting instincts. I had a good GPA in my Bachelors, which further strengthened my personality. Ever since reading Dan Brown’s novels, I have further been interested to know the language of numbers. Hence, by studying Accounting at the Arizona state university, I would be employing the language of numbers for business purposes. Also, I have demonstrated the ability of achieving goals by successfully completing my Bachelor’s and even managed to secure an employment. I continued my employment for 2 years and 3 months which vastly added to my skills and abilities and polished my career in accounts.

Being a native Arabic, one of my weaknesses is English Language. Although, I had joined AECP and worked hard to master the language, yet I was not able to overcome the difference in English speaking that lies between a native speaker of English and a foreigner. My worst weakness is that I never get satisfied with my work, and no matter how many efforts I have put in, I never settle for it. Because of this major weakness, many of my colleagues and team mates have criticized me. This happened because I always continued to strive for the best, best and best and never settled for anything less. This caused more efforts into a particular project, than were required which sometimes reaped outstanding results, but sometimes it also leads to ordinary ones. I believe it would take me some more time to realize the relevance of efforts that should be put into a particular task.
